Coconut flour is made after the oil is extracted from mature coconut flesh, and the remaining dried coconut is ground into a fine powder.
Coconut flour can be sprinkled over sweet and savoury dishes to add a creamy flavour or used to crumb fish. Coconut flour can also be used to replace up to 1/3 of plain wheat flour for gluten-free alternative baking recipes, however extra liquid will also be needed.
