Coriander is an annual herb that is also known as cilantro. Dried coriander seeds have a herbaceous citrus flavour, especially when ground in a mortar & pestle, but they also have a warmer, nutty taste.
Coriander seeds can be used raw, or gently roasted in a dry pan to bring out extra flavour and aroma. These seeds are great in pickles and chutney or added to casseroles and broths.
